Professor Felipe has won titles such as Pan American champion, Brazilian National champion, World champion, Asian champion in Tokyo Japan recently, and many more! Although he has a passion for competing, Professor Felipe is much more passionate about his dedication to the children and adults that he teaches at the Level Up Project in his hometown, inside one of the notoriously dangerous slums of Sao Paulo Brazil. Professor Felipe’s passion for Jiu Jitsu has gotten him through many tough periods of his life due to the violence of his local town, and he prides himself on giving the children of the area an escape through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the life skills that they learn at the academy with Professor Felipe. We are very proud of both Professor Felipe’s competitive record and his record as an excellent mentor for his students.
